Bio

After graduating with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Musical Theatre 2009, Lisa moved to London and has been working as a performer there, and around the world, ever since. More experienced in live Theatre (from Classics to New Writing, Shakespeare to Musicals) Lisa is hoping to move more into Screen Acting in 2024. Her first Lead Role in a Short Film ‘New Year’s Day’ helped the film into several film festivals, where it was both nominated for, and won, several awards. Lisa performs regularly on the London Improv Circuit where she directs the 5* A Cappella Improvised Musical - Acaprov and plays in several groups on the HOOPLA Mainstage; as well as appearing in a variety of National and International Improv Festivals between acting jobs.

Teaching

With a Drama PGCE from Goldsmith’s College (University of London) at Masters Level - Lisa has been a fully qualified teacher since 2013. On the DBS Update Service, Lisa has been a Guest Director, Guest Lecturer, Supply Teacher and Head of Acting and Performing Arts at over 50 schools, college’s and Universities across the UK on a substitute teacher basis to support her acting career. She is also an experienced chaperone and children’s party entertainer. Lisa teaches for the UK’s Number 1 Improv School: HOOPLA, as well as teaching a variety of Acting, Shakespeare, Musical Improv and Improv Workshops across the UK and at International Festivals around the globe.

Corporate

Lisa is available to do a variety of corporate work to support her acting career. She has helped to train Doctors in breaking difficult news; train people to pitch, sell and get sponsorship; helped people with their public speaking; and lead Team Building Workshops. Lisa can also facilitate acting auditions or interviews where the candidates need to improvise. She is very good a motivating people, putting people at ease and improving their confidence.

Homelife

A devoted Auntie, Sister, Daughter and Friend - Lisa currently spends her time between London and Warrington (her home town). Growing up working-class to 2 working class parents, Lisa has 2 sister’s (1 older 1 younger), and family is incredibly important to her. Agnostic, T-Total (for vocal care) and an intersectional-feminist with a passion for social mobility; Lisa is a ‘care-taker’ in terms of personality, and like’s to look after everybody on set. Lisa is also passionate, creative and outspoken - with a focus on getting things done properly.
